The Circuit newspaper was established in 1979 and is the longest running school newspaper in New Zealand.
The online version of Circuit was established in 2016 and is great preparation for those hoping to apply to broadcasting and journalising courses.
Students learn how to interview and write stories, design layout, use computer publishing programs and take photographs. They need to meet deadlines and work together as a team. They also develop an awareness of news and current events and an understanding of the role of the media in a democracy.
The stories published here are written by students in Years 12 and 13 at Nayland College, Stoke, Nelson.
